Yuksel Alper Ecevit was appointed as the head of the C.U. Center for  Strategic Studies in October 2018 by the Rector’s Office.

Dr. Ecevit has been working at Çukurova University since 2017 in the Department of Political Science and International Relations as an assistant professor.

His research areas are Political Parties, Elections, Political Behavior, Quantitative Methodology and the Voting Rights. Dr. Ecevit, previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Bahçeşehir University and as an instructor at Binghamton University. 

He published journal articles in, Party Politics, International Political Science Review and Parliamentary Affairs. He also have book chapters about “Trust in Judicial Institutions in Turkey and Political Parties” which are published by Routledge.

Dr.Ecevit is the co-chairman of the Organizing Committee of the annual  Empirical Studies in Political Analysis Conference.

 

He is currently a collaborator of an international research, named Comparative Candidates Survey.
